Serevi competed in the National All-Star Competition with 52 other athletes, and was selected to join the Eagles and is set to cap in her first match today against Canada. Serevi did not compete in the Eagles first contest of the Super Series, a 19-13 loss against France.
Canada won the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup, which should make for a great matchup.
"I don't think we're the underdog going in against Canada; Last time we played them we beat them," Eagles head Coach Pete Steinberg said. "But, I do think we go in as favorites either. I think it is going to be a well contested match just as it was last year.
After the matchup with Canada, the Eagles will next play England on Saturday, July 9 at 2 p.m.
