NAMPA, Idaho (Sept. 10) – The Central Washington University women's soccer team rolled to a 3-0 win over Dominican University of California, improving to a 4-0-0 record. Records indicate it is the first time in program history the Wildcats have started out 4-0-0.
"This is our best game all year, from the quality of the game and our competitiveness," CWU Head Coach Mike Farrand said. "It's our most complete game of the year. We are pretty excited. We know we have a big week ahead of use and need to concentrate and keep things going forward."
Central bombarded the Penguins' net with 18 shots, 11 of which were on frame.
The Wildcats slipped the first ball past the Penguins in the 15
th minute.
Lexsi Manning got in on the left wing and beat a defender 1-on-1.
Kaysha Darcy crashed from the weak side and her shot eluded Gabriella Tassano for Darcy's first goal of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper
Emily Holt kept the score level in the 19
th minute with a pair of back-to-back saves. Stephanie Pawek and Ivy Torres both unleashed shots that were turned aside by the Wildcats' keeper.
Whitney Lowe added to the advantage in the 22
nd minute. Lowe forced a turnover and gained possession. She blasted a shot from 25 yards out and slotted it inside the left post.
The Wildcats added a third goal with a little help from the Penguins.

Kennedy Anson in the attacking zone. Anson sent a ball into the six and it ricocheted off a defender and into the back of the net, giving Central a 3-0 advantage.
"Kennedy was our player of the match today" Farrand said afterward of his sophomore midfielder. "For a player who is looking to prove herself she had a fantastic match."
The Wildcats continued their dominating performance in the second half.
"Second half was awesome," Farrand added. "We put up seven corners and dominated the course of play."
The Wildcats have scored eight goals this season and all eight goals have come from different goal scorers.
"We've had different goal scorers in every game we have played, it's an incredible feat," Farrand acknowledged. "We are getting production from everywhere on the pitch."
Central took 11 shots in the second half, while the Wildcats' defense held Dominican to just two. Holt finished with four saves and her third second clean sheet of the season.
The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday (Sept. 13) for their home opener against Northwest (WA). Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
