FIRST SERVE
The Central Washington University women's volleyball team (16-6, 11-3 GNAC) return to the friendly confines of Nicholson Pavilion this week to battle a pair of Great Northwest Athletic Conference opponents. The Wildcats will face Seattle Pacific University (12-10, 7-6 GNAC) on Thursday, Nov. 2, with a first serve set for 7 p.m. PST. Central Washington will then go head-to-head with Saint Martin's University (8-14, 3-11 GNAC) on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Seattle Pacific
Seattle Pacific opened the second half of conference play going 2-0 on the weekend. The Falcons picked up a road victory against Saint Martin's, downing the Saints in straight sets. SPU followed this performance with another sweep of Montana State Billings last Saturday. Â

Gabby Oddo leads the Falcon offense with a 3.39 kills-per-set average, while Hannah Neumann ranks tenth in the GNAC with a 4.26 digs-per-set average. Symone Tran run the offense, handing out 9.73 assists-per-set. Nicole Tchabanov leads the Falcons at the net and ranks fifth in the conference with 1.21 blocks-per-set.

CWU picked up the win on the road over Seattle Pacific in the first meeting back on Oct. 7. The Wildcats handed the Falcons a four-set loss (25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17) at Brougham Pavilion.

Saint Martin's
Saint Martin's is currently riding a three-game losing streak dating back to Oct. 21. The Saints were swept by Seattle Pacific last Thursday and then lost a hard fought five-set match to Montana State Billings.

Rebecca Mitchell lead the Saints offensively, notching 3.49 kills/set. Nicolette Nesbitt registers 8.16 assists-per-set, while Hannah Neumann records 3.26 digs/set to rank tenth in the conference. Kamille Langford currently ranks seventh in the GNAC with 1.08 blocks/set.

In the first meeting between the teams, the Saints came away with a five set victory (25-23, 19-25, 25-19, 19-25, 9-15) at Marcus Pavilion.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats have won six of their last seven matches dating back to Oct. 7 against Seattle Pacific. CWU traveled to Alaska last week and split their two matches. The Wildcats fell to the University of Alaska Anchorage last Thursday in five sets, and then recorded a come from behind victory against Alaska Fairbanks on Saturday. Two Wildcats recorded double-digit kills against the Nanooks with
Shelby Mauritson recording 16 kills and
Maggie McTaggart notching 14 kills. Mauritson also tallied 16 digs for her 15th double-double of the season.

UP NEXT
The Wildcats hit the road again next week, taking on Northwest Nazarene University on Tuesday, Nov. 7 in Nampa, Idaho. They will turn right around to face Montana State Billings on Saturday, Nov. 11 in Ellensburg.
