BELLINGHAM, Wash.- Sophomore
Alexa Shindruk recorded a NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifying mark in the 5,000-meter run to capture the event title and lead the Central Washington University track and field team at the Ralph Vernacchia Meet on the campus of Western Washington University.
"Not a bad day overall," CWU head coach
Kevin Adkisson said. "We had some really good performances, including several provisional qualifying marks/times. The weather wasn't great so there were a lot of events, especially on the sprinting side, that weren't fast. It was a good day for the distance and throwing events, where we had quite a few PRs. Hopefully we will have agreeable weather next week so that everyone can have the kind of day they need so we can get ready for conference."
