NEW ORLEANS – Both Central Washington University Track & Field squads were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, the association announced Monday. Along with both squads being recognized, eight student-athletes were recognized for their accomplishments both on the track and in the classroom with sophomore
Emy Ntekpere being named the Women's Outdoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year.
To be nominated as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the team must have a cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the squad list of 3.0 or higher out of a 4.0 scale. The CWU Women's Track & Field Team qualified for the honor with a 3.314 team GPA while the Men's Track & Field Team qualified for the honor with a 3.202 team GPA.

Carley Huber,
Lauryn McGough, and Ntekpere were named as USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes. To earn this distinction, athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must have been academically eligible at the NCAA National Championships, must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals on TFRRS or have participated at a National Championship this season, and/or must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams on TFRRS.
Brown is the owner of a 3.3 GPA in Business Administration. Elenbaas has a 3.86 GPA in Physical Education and School Health. Gonzalez has a 3.78 GPA in Clinical Physiology. Harris has a 3.5 GPA in History/Social Studies Teaching while Hollis owns a 3.95 in her residency teaching. Huber owns a 3.51 GPA in Clinical Physiology while McGough has a 3.71 GPA in Exercise Science and Ntekpere owns a 3.38 GPA in Biology.
