PORTLAND, Ore. (Apr. 7) – In a game that began 13 days ago, before finally concluding tonight, the Central Washington University baseball team fell 7-1 against Great Northwest Athletic Conference foe Concordia University.

Prior to the game's halt on March 26, the Wildcats had taken all three prior games of the series.  In the first two and a half innings that were played on March 26, Concordia staked out a 3-0 lead.

Upon the restart in play, Michael Heinevetter took position on second base after doubling in the game's ultimate play in March.

The Wildcats could not bring Heinevetter around upon resuming play. 

The Cavaliers struck again with a solo homerun in the fourth.  The pitching staff for Concordia held the Wildcats' offense quiet until the seventh inning.

Concordia pushed a trio of runs across in the seventh inning for a 7-0 advantage. 

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Christopher Dalto led off with a single into left field.  Yi-an Pan pinch hit and drove an 0-2 pitch into right for a single, moving Dalto to second.  Kyle Stahl loaded the bases with a single.  Dalto then scored on a 6-4-3 double play.

The Wildcats and Cavaliers now play a four-game set starting Saturday (Apr. 8).  First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
