ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Kailyn Campbell,
Jacie McDaniels and
Julia Reuble accounted for all 10 of the Central Washington softball team's RBIs in the Wildcats sweep of Simon Fraser (7-21, 3-9 GNAC) Saturday afternoon at Frederick Field, improving CWU's record to 26-4 on the season and 13-1 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

The Wildcats came from behind to defeat the Clan 5-3 in the opener, and cruised to an 8-0 victory in the six-inning night cap.

Campbell, McDaniels and Reuble hit 2
nd, 3
rd and 4
th, respectively, in the CWU lineup, and together went 9 for 18 with four doubles.

Campbell went 4 for 8 on the day with three RBI, her last coming on a walk off double in game two to induce the mercy rule on the Clan. McDaniels went 3 for 6 with four RBI and Reuble 2 for 4, with three RBI.

Kiana Wood and
Kayla Smith both earned complete game victories on the day, with Smith recording the shutout in game two. Wood improved to 13-1 on the season, and Smith 8-4.

As a team, the Wildcats batted .370 on the day, while the CWU pitching staff held the Clan to just a .213 average.

Simon Fraser took an early 2-0 lead in game one, scoring a run in each of the first two innings. It took the Wildcats a few innings to find the timing of SFU starting pitcher Alia Stachoski, but got things rolling in the third inning with McDaniels driving home
Celine Fowler on a single to center field, followed by a long double down the right field line by Reuble that plated Campbell and
Samantha Gorham to give CWU a 3-2 advantage.

Simon Fraser leveled the score at 3-3 in the fifth innings, before Campbell drove home
Kayla Ellis and
Sammy Morris in the sixth to give the Wildcats the final 5-3 advantage.

Wood went all seven innings, allowing one earned run, while striking out a pair of SFU batters.

The Wildcats scored in all but one inning in game two, pushing across two runs in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by McDaniels and another run scoring double by Reuble. McDaniels tagged on two more in the second on a single to center, scoring
Molly Nutt and
Paige Liikala in the process.

Up 7-0 in the sixth, Campbell came to the plate with runners on first and second, and laced a 2-0 pitched deep down the left field line, scoring Nutt from second, and ending the contest with the Wildcats taking the 8-0 win and the two-game sweep.

Smith was solid from start to finish in the circle going all six-innings allowing just four hits, with no walks.

The Wildcats return to action tomorrow when they host Western Washington for a pair of contests starting at Noon on Frederick Field.
