ELLENSBURG, Wash.- The Central Washington University volleyball team looks to build some momentum before conference play as they host two PacWest and two CCAA opponents in the 2017 DII West Region Showcase held in Ellensburg. The Showcase will begin on Thursday Sept. 9, and conclude on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Juniors
Shelby Mauritson and
Maggie McTaggart will look to stay hot after combining to post 78 kills and a .190 hitting percentage at the Terrace Hotels Classic this past week. Sophomore setter
Niki Cook has tallied 67 assists on the season to lead CWU, followed closely by
Gabrielle Aihara with 64. Defensively, senior middle blocker
Sabrina Wheelhouse has tallied 15 total blocks for an average of 1.15 blocks per set.
