ELLENSBURG, Wash. (Mar. 31) – The Central Washington University (17-13, 12-8 GNAC) baseball team dropped both of its games against Montana State University Billings (19-11, 14-6 GNAC) in Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

The Yellowjackets hit five homeruns in game one, en route to an 18-1 victory over the Wildcats. They scored three in the first, one in the fourth, six in the fifth, four in the sixth, three in the seventh, and tacked one on in the ninth.
The Wildcats lone run came in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly from
Justin Hampson. Central managed just four hits off of the 'Jackets starter Michael Gahan (2-0).
Mackenzie Gaul (2-3) was charged with the loss.
In game two,
Seth Pedersen (2-2) was charged with the loss in game two. Over four innings of work Pedersen allowed seven hits, seven runs, five earned, and struck out two.
JJ Asinas finished in relief, tossing three innings and did not allow an earned run. He struck out four hitters.
The Yelllowjackets got the scoring started early, pushing across a pair of runs in both the first and second innings for a 4-0 lead.
The Wildcats got all four runs back in the bottom of the fourth. A bases loaded wild pitch brought the first run around.
Christopher Dalto doubled to left center, scoring
James Smith III and
Tristin Parton. A dropped fly ball allowed Dalto to score and tie the game at 4-4.
Jared Winslow (3-2) was lifted after four innings. He allowed just four hits, four runs, and two earned runs. He struck out six on way to earning the win.
After scoring four in the fourth, the Wildcats' bats went quiet, but the Yellowjackets' bats did not. They scored seven runs over the next three innings for an 11-4 win.
The Wildcats are back in action on Saturday (Apr. 7) for a four-game series at Concordia (Ore.). First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
