SCOUTING SAINT MARTIN'S
The Saints swept the GNAC Players of the Week, as Ryne Oshiro hit .625 on the weekend and Tanner Inouye went the distance in a 5-2 win over Northwest Nazarene.
Saint Martin's is 6-26 overall on the season and hold a 5-19 record in GNAC play.
Oshiro leads the Saints' offense, posting an average of .316 through 32 games. He has a slugging percentage of .447, an on-base percentage of .368, three homeruns, and twelve runs batted in.
Austin Feist sits just under the .300 mark on the year at .298. He leads the Saints in homeruns (4), doubles (8), triples (2) slugging percentage (.496), and runs batted in (19). The Saints have posted a batting average of .235 as a team.
Inouye leads the Saints with a 2-2 record in 10 appearances, five of which have been starts. Over 34.2 innings, Inouye has tallied 22 strikeouts, with a 3.63 ERA, and opposing hitters are hitting at a .263 clip.
The Saints' pitching staff has posted an ERA of 6.77 and opposing hitters have an average of .318.
Last weekend the Saints split their series with Northwest Nazarene. They scored the game-winning run in their opening 5-4 win in the top of 10
th inning. Saint Martin's posted an average of .244 over the weekend and an ERA of 5.23.
GNAC STANDINGS UPDATE
After last week's contests Montana State Billings (18-6 GNAC) holds a four-game lead over Western Oregon (14-10). The Wildcats sit in third at 13-11. Concordia has moved to the fourth spot with a conference record of 12-12. Northwest Nazarene is only two games behind Concordia at 10-14.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats dropped three of four to Concordia this past weekend.
Connor Stevenson (5-3) picked up the Wildcats' lone win.
Jaden Hassell hit .417 on the weekend and drove in four runs. The Wildcats are still the GNAC leaders in batting average, coming in at a clip of .301 and lead the conference in hits with 333. They are tied for the lead in doubles with Montana State Billings with 64 two-baggers.
