QUOTABLE
"Northwest has struggled a bit coming out of the gate," CWU Head Coach
Michael Farrand said. "They are coming back from a long trip to Florida. They've been one of the top teams in the Cascade Confernece. They've made the run to the NAIA Finals. Brian has done a great job with is program and they always play great soccer. It's up to us to concentrate on what we do well. Coming out of Stanislaus we have things to work on. This is a big week for us because we are trying to tune up both the older girls and the younger girls, as well as rest bodies."
"We definitely have an energy about us this year," Senior
Kennedy Anson said. "After we got scored on in both games last week we responded quickly. We came back, fought, and never gave up. Makinzie's [Packwood] goal with less than 30 seconds left against Fresno shows we kept fighting. We still have some learning to do and we have a big week ahead of us. The younger girls are eager to learn. There's things that we, as upperclassmen, have learned through experience, so when you look at this coming week, it's a big week in terms of experience for the younger girls."
"We showed a lot of good moments in California," Senior
Bailey Martoncik said. "There's a lot more for us to show this upcoming week. We are going to use what we did in California to build off of our good moments and put together more complete results. This week is a chance for us to come out with a bang to not only pick up three wins at home, but to help set the table for when we start playing conference opponents."
