ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University women's rugby team captured a Senior Day victory over Eastern Washington University, 94-0.
 
"Today was all about our seniors, honoring them, and the legacy they are leaving us," CWU Head Coach 
Trevor Richards said.  "They've put in a lot of work over the years, especially going through the coaching changes over the last few years.  They have set the standard for our younger players."
 
Bianca Ortiz-Pallen started the scoring for the Wildcats.  She plunged over the line in the third minute to give CWU an early lead.  
Mikayla Roberts made it 7-0 with the conversion.
 
Three minutes later, 
Suiluana Sooialo A'au made her way in.  She barreled through the Eagles' defenders for his first try and a 14-0 lead.  No more than 60 seconds later, 
Madison Hadden notched her first try under the uprights.  Roberts added her third conversion to make it 21-0.
 
Maryjane Pasioles added a try in the ninth minute as the flurry of scoring continued for Central Washington. Hadden followed in the 13
th minute with her second try and a 33-0 advantage.
 
Central broke free again in the 17
th minute.  
Jaida Kafovalu fended off a pair of defenders as she made her way in for the try.  Two minutes later, 
Michel Navarro tore through the Eagles' defense and grounded the ball for a try and a 45-0 lead. 
 
Senior 
Paige Wyatt joined the scoring ledger in the 22
nd minute with a try.  Roberts tacked on the conversion to make it 52-0.
 
Ortiz-Pallen found her way into the try zone for a second time in the 24
th minute.  Not to be outdone, Hadden acquired her third try in the 26
th minute to secure the hat trick.  Ortiz-Pallen later added her third try for the hat trick in the 30
th minute.  Sandwiched in between Ortiz-Pallen and Hadden, 
Shona Kennedy scored for CWU in the 28
th minute. 
 
After 30 minutes of play, the Wildcats led 80-0.  Three minutes into the second half, Wyatt tallied her second try.  
Chloe Washburn then scored in the 35
th minute after coming on as a tactical substitution. 
 
The game was halted in the 38
th minute for a 94-0 victory for CWU.
 
Central Washington's next match is scheduled for March 14 against Oregon Sports Union Rugby.  Kick-off is slated for 2:00 p.m.
