ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington University Football and Head Coach
Chris Fisk are excited to announce the 2020 recruiting class. The group consists of 27 true freshman that signed National Letters of Intent to play at CWU. Along with that, the Wildcats have added four transfers bring the total list to 31.
Of the 27 recruits that were signed, 25 hail from the state of Washington. Along with that, this freshman class has a cumulative GPA over 3.0. Speaking about his 2020 class, Wildcats Football Head Coach
Chris Fisk said, "I think we checked every box that we wanted to. With the line of scrimmage, I think we won there with size, length, athleticism and very smart and intelligent kids. Having over a 3.0 GPA in this group is huge for us. Its an improvement we wanted to make as a staff in recruiting guys that take school seriously and want to do a great job when they get here to Central Washington. I feel really good for it being my first recruiting class and I feel we hit a homerun here with this group."

Isackson played at Eastlake High School as a member of the Wolves football team. He earned Second Team All-League honors at offensive line. He plans to major in Mechanical Engineering and on why he chose CWU Isackson said, "Because of the strength program and what CWU has to offer as a whole."
Noah Thompson

Thompson played at Mountlake Terrace High school on both the offensive and defensive line. He was an All-Conference selection at offensive and defensive line as well as a kicker/punter. Thompson also garnered Honorable Mention All-State accolades as a punter. He plans to major in Environmental Sciences and on why he chose CWU Thompson said, "It just feels like the right place and a place I would like to spend the next four years."

Hall will join CWU from Clackamas High School where he was a State Champion in 2017 as the Cavaliers went undefeated. Hall was named a 2019 Art Skipper Jr. Award Recipient as well as the Clackamas Offensive Lineman of the Year. He also received the Clackamas CAVS Award in 2019. Hall competed in track & field and in 2019 was a state qualifier in the discus throw. He plans to major in Geology and on why he chose CWU Hall said, "The campus is beautiful, the coaches took an interest in me, and the football team has a winning mentality."
Josiah Cochran

Cochran played his high school football at Skyview High School. In 2019, he racked up 40 tackles, eight sacks, and had 32 quarterback hurries. Cochran also forced three fumbles, deflected a trio of passes and had one interception. He as named First Team All-League and All-Region at defensive line as well as Honorable Mention All-State. He plans to major in Business Marketing and on why he chose CWU Cochran said, "I chose CWU because of the coaching philosophy and family aspect Coach Fisk brings to the program as well as the great coaching staff. I also love winning and CWU knows how win and win the big games."
Roman Savchuk

Savchuk is another in-state product, hailing from Mariner High School. He played safety while with the Marauders and was a First Team All-League selection at both tight end and linebacker. He plans to major in engineering and on why he chose CWU Savchuk said, "It's a perfect fit for me and it's close to my hometown."

McCann played at Enumclaw High School as a member of the Hornet football team. He was a First Team All-NSPL selection at running back and defensive back. He was named the Special Team Player of the Year and played in the Washington All-State game. He finished the 2019 campaign with 1,700 all-purpose yards and 17 total touchdowns. He plans to major in Business and on why he chose CWU McCann said, "Whenever I walk on campus at CWU I feel a part of a family, something I didn't feel anywhere else. There's something special about the culture here."
Jeremiah Faulstick

Faulstick will join CWU from Hockinson High School in the fall of 2020. Faulstick was a First Team All-League and All-region selection at tight end and went on to earn Honorable Mention All-State honors. He plans to major in Business and on why he chose CWU Faulstick said, "I love the culture and the campus. It's a very successful program and it's not too far from home and really can see me enjoying college going here."

Paz is another in-state product that will remain in Washington. He played his high school football at Squalicum High School at both offensive and defensive line. He was named First Team All-WESCO in 2019 at offensive line. He was Honorable Mention All-WESCO at the same position the season prior in 2018. He is undecided on his major and on why he chose CWU Paz said, "It's close to home but far enough away to travel. Plus, I get the chance to play high level of football, it's affordable and the atmosphere of the football family is great."

Krueger was a two-sport athlete while attending Meadowvale High School. He is a wrestler along with having played football. Krueger earned First Team All-WESCO honors at both offensive and defensive line in 2019. Along with that, he is currently a top-25 ranked wrestler in the heavyweight division. He plans to major in Business and on why he chose CWU Krueger said, "CWU will be an excellent place to further my education. Their prestigious football program will allow me to grow to my full potential."

He plans to major in Construction Management and on why he chose CWU Feldman said, "I choose CWU because of the great coaching staff and campus."

Wieburg is a two-sport athlete out of Skyline High School having played football and competed in track. He was named a team Captain for football in 2019 and went on to earn First Team All-Conference honors at cornerback. He was also invited to play in the 2019 Cleats vs. cancer All-Star Game. In track & field, he was a conference champion in 2018 in the 100-meter dash and finished sixth at the state meet in the 100. Academically, Wieburg was nominated for the Seattle National Football Foundation (NFF) Scholar-Athlete Award. He plans to major in Criminal Justice and on why he chose CWU Wieburg said, "I knew Central would be a good fit for me academically and athletically. I liked the fact that CWU is close to home and I felt a strong sense of family amongst the football team."

Lozolo played his high school ball in-state at Kennedy Catholic High School. In 2019, he totaled 1,400 all-purpose yards and had 10 touchdowns. He also pulled down 44 catches for the 2019 campaign and was named All-League at running back. He plans to major in Physical Therapy and on why he chose CWU Lozolo said, "It felt like home from the first time I stepped foot on campus."

He plans to major in Business and on why he chose CWU Cook said, "It's the best fit for me and I love the university!"

He was named All-League at offensive line. He is undecided on his major and on why he chose CWU Fesili said, "I asked God to lead me to a college that would take care of me and Central's coaching staff treated me amazing. Also, because I got to connect with a lot of players at Central. I'm excited to see what God has in store for me and my future. Go Wildcats!"

Emmsley is one of the few out-of-state recruits in the 2020 recruiting class. From Hawaii, Emmsley played his high school ball at Kapolei High School. In 2019, he racked up 44.5 tackles, eight tackles for loss and had two sacks. He also pulled down a pair of interceptions, including one pick-six. Academically, he made the Principal's List with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He plans to major in Sports Management and on why he chose CWU Emmsley said, "I believe CWU is the best fit for me and I know that I will succeed here on the field and in the classroom."

Messner is a local product that will remain in town to play for the Wildcats. He led the league in sacks in 2019 and was a First Team All-League selection at tight end and defensive end. He plans to major in Safety & Health Management and on why he chose CWU Messner said, "CWU has everything I was looking for in school and in sports."

Clay is another in-state product to keep his talents in Washington. He hails from Tumwater High School where he and the Thunderbird football team were 2A State Champions. He tallied 35 tackles in 2019 and had three interceptions to go along with eight total touchdowns. He was a First Team All-League selection at defensive back and a Second Team All-area pick at the same position. He plans to major in Business & Sports Management.

Githinji comes to CWU from Evergreen High School. In his senior season, Githinji recorded 69 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and had eight sacks. He also forced a pair of fumbles and had one interception. He was named SPSL 2A Defensive Player of the Year and earned Second Team All-League honors. Academically, he has been named the Student of the Month. He plans to major in Electrical Engineering and on why he chose CWU Githinji said, "I felt at home It had all the programs I was interested and I felt comfortable with the coaches and my teammates."

He plans to major in Criminal Justice and on why he chose CWU Loidhamer said, "I chose CWU because I like the Coaching staff and the players."

He plans to major in Physical Therapy and on why he chose CWU Crumb said, "I chose CWU because of the opportunities that it presents for football and to further my education to prepare me for my future. It is also close to home so I'm able to stay connected to my friends, and family."

Clark hails from Puyallup and is currently the No. 1 ranked wrestler in 4A for his weight class. He finished his high school football career as a First Team All-League pick at linebacker and was an Honorable Mention All-League selection at wide receiver. As a wrestler he has finished sixth, fifth, and third at the state tournament each of the last three season. He plans to major in Business & Finance and on why he chose CWU Clark said, "It's was the best fit for me. I loved the atmosphere and all the players that I got to meet, but one thing that stood over the top for me was how much the coaches cared and wanted me."

Bea was a two-way player in high school having played linebacker and wide receiver at Washougal High School. On defense, he accumulated over 450 career tackles and as he senior he racked up 156 tackles with 118 being on a solo effort. He was named the 2A GHSL Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and earned All-State honors as well. He was the Cascadia Preps Linebacker of the Year and was an All-region selection in both 2018 and 2019. He earned All-League honors all four years of his prep career. Offensively, he was fourth in Washington in 2A in receiving and had over 1,000 yards in his senior season. Academically, he was named an All-Academic student-athlete. He plans to major in Business and on why he chose CWU Bea said, "I like the football program and the school fits me well."

He plans to major in Nursing and on why he chose CWU Nikolao said, "I chose central because I love the family atmosphere. The team and coaches have a goal and I want to be a part of that."
