QUOTABLE
"Definitely excited to get our varsity squad back in action this week," Head Coach Kevin Adkisson said. "They had a good week of training last week and rested their bodies a bit as we continue to get into better race shape. They are chomping at the bit for this weekend. Willamette is always a fun one because it's a big meet and generally a fast course. They're excited to compete and go after a PR opportunity for those that feel like they're in their fittest shape. It's a chance for us to see how we stack up against other teams.

THE  46th CHARLES BOWLES WILLAMETTE INVITATIONAL
Central will square off with a bevy of NCAA programs in Salem, including a small contingent of men's entries from the University of Washington Huskies and eight women from the University of Hawai'i.

The Men's Cardinal 8K, consisting of NCAA teams only, is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. The Women's Cardinal 5K will run second at approximately 10:20 a.m.

Willamette's course starts at Bush Park, before ending at McCulloch Stadium. The race path consists of grass, bark chips, track, blacktop, cement, and gravel paths. Course maps are available HERE.

Central's main squad did not compete last week after competing in the PLU Invitational on September 18. The men recorded a second place finish, led by Trevor Allen. He nabbed an individual finish of 10th after clocking in at 25:57.70. Ty Savely and Shawn Clough also finished in the top 15 at 12th and 13th, respectively. Kay Lester led the women with a 17th place finish with a time of 24:08.50.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats sent a small squad to Saint Martin's University for the Ken Garland Classic.
