ELLENSBURG, Wash.— The Central Washington women's basketball team earned two unanimous selections to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference team in fifth year
Kassidy Malcolm and junior
Samantha Bowman.
"I'm happy for Kass and Sam to both receive unanimous all-conference selections. It's well-deserved by both of them as I feel they have truly earned that respect every day they step into the gym. I'm excited to see them back in action this season."
Kassidy Malcolm, an Ellensburg native, joined the Wildcats in 2017 after graduating from Ellensburg High School. The 5
th year graduate student has played 80 games so far as a Wildcat and has started 51 of those games. Malcolm has a career average of 8.9 points per game alongside a .451 shooting percentage and a .763 average from the free throw line. Malcolm also has a .326 shooting percentage from beyond the arc and averages 6.8 rebounds per game.
Samantha Bowman joined the Wildcats in 2018 after graduating from Zillah High School in Zillah, Washington. The junior has appeared in 60 games for the Wildcats starting 18 of them. Bowman has a career average of 8 points per game alongside a .584 shooting percentage. The 6' 3" center averages 4.9 rebounds per game and has 64 career blocks.
