SEATTLE—Washington downed Central Washington, 83-50, in a men's basketball exhibition game, Thursday at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Washington's Terrell Brown, Jr., led all scorers with 17 points as the Huskies placed four players in double figures. Joining Brown in double digits were Emmett Matthews, Jr., with 12 and Daejon Davis with 10. Jamal Bey chipped in with 10.
Xavier Smith led the Wildcats with 11 points, while also grabbing a team-high 8 rebounds.
Washington led 29-17 at halftime as the Wildcats limited the Huskies to 41 percent shooting over the first 20 minutes.
The Wildcats officially open the 2021-22 season next Friday, Nov. 12, when they visit Cal State Monterey Bay.
