ELLENSBURG, Wash.—The Central Washington women's basketball team opens their conference schedule with a road trip to Seattle Pacific and Montana State University Billings. The 'Cats will cross the cascades before making their journey down near Yellowstone.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
First up for the 'Cats is the Falcons from SPU. The Falcons are fresh off of a win against Westminster (Utah) in Ellensburg at the Central Washington Tournament. Their win snapped a four-game losing streak and brought them to a 3-4 overall record.
As a team the Falcons have averaged 61.9 points per game on a .399 field goal percentage, both higher than their opponents. The Falcons are also shooting .343 from beyond the arc, and average 17.9 rebounds per game.
The Falcons offense is led by Ashley Alter, whose recent performance at the Central Washington Tournament helped lift the Falcons to their win over Westminster (Utah).
Second in line for the 'Cats are the Yellowjackets from Montana State University Billings. The 'Jackets are 5-4 on the season and will be taking on GNAC opponent Northwest Nazarene prior to the 'Cats.
This season the 'Jackets are averaging 67.6 points oer game on a .431 shooting percentage from the field. The 'Jackets rely heavily on playing inside the key, as a team .290 shooting percentage from beyond the arc has made the outside threat minimal. At the net however the 'Jackets average 38.6 rebounds per game, 9.2 more then opponents so far this season.
WILDCAT'S IN ACTION
The 'Cats are currently sitting 4-2 overall after dropping the final match of the Central Washington Tournament to Metropolitan State University of Denver.
The 'Cats offense has averaged 70.3 points per game on a .419 shooting percentage including .333 from beyond the arc. Leading the 'Cats in scoring is
Kizzah Maltezo. Maltezo is currently averaging 18.5 points per game on a .418 shooting percentage. She also sits second on the roster in assists with 22 and leads the 'Cats in steals with 8.
In the post it has been the
Samantha Bowman show all season. She is currently averaging 16.8 points per game alongside 14.7 rebounds per game and has posted a double-double in five of the 'Cats six games. Bowman also has 84% of the 'Cats total blocks with 21.
Kassidy Malcolm has played the supporting role on both sides this season for the 'Cats. She is averaging 15.0 points per game alongside 7.2 rebounds. Malcolm has a strong .423 shooting percentage from both the floor and beyond the arc. Malcolm also leads the big three with a .792 free throw percentage.
