ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington University women's soccer forward
Makinzie Packwood earned Great Northwest Athletic Conference offensive player of the week honors.
She tallied two goals and an assist on the week.
"It's exciting to be recognized," CWU Head Coach
Michael Farrand said. "It's been awhile since we have had a player of the week. For it to be Mak in the beginning of the year is a testament to the work she put in to come back from a serious injury. She's had points, and a positive impact, in all of our outings this year."
Packwood tallied her first goal of the season against the College of Idaho, putting the Wildcats ahead 1-0 in the 23
rd minute. The Clarkston native later added an assist on
Maci Parke's game-winning goal in the 74

st minute, though Central eventually fell 2-1 to Chaminade.
