ELLENSBURG, Wash.—For the second time this season Central Washington's Meagan Smallbeck has been named as Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
 
Smallbeck, a senior, also earned GNAC weekly honors on Dec. 13.
 
This time Smallbeck takes the weekly honor after winning the weight throw at the Washington State Cougar Open in Spokane. Smallbeck won the event, which featured five Division I athletes, with a throw of 16.47 meters.
 
The Wildcats return to action Saturday at the Idaho Invitational.
