Wildcats Return Home to Host the CWU Wildcat Invitational

ELLENSBURG, WASH.- The Central Washington University Track & Field returns to action this weekend in Ellensburg to host the CWU Wildcat Invitational.

ABOUT THE MEET: 
 
Coming off a strong performance at the Whitworth Peace Meet, the Wildcats return to their home track looking to carry that momentum into another competitive weekend. The CWU Wildcat Invitational gives Central Washington an opportunity to compete on familiar ground while continuing to sharpen performances as the outdoor season progresses. The festivities begin on Saturday with an early 8:00 a.m. start as the 10,000m men's race begins the day with the first field events starting at 9:00 a.m. with the men's hammer throw and the women's javelin throw.
 
In addition to Saturday's collegiate meet, Central Washington will also host a high school invitational on Friday, April 10, bringing a full weekend of competition to the Recreation Sports Complex. Friday begins at 9:00 a.m. with the boy's hammer throw and the girl's javelin throw with the first track event beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the 2,000m girl's steeplechase.
