ELLENSBURG, Wash. – 12 Central Washington University Track and Field Student-Athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the CSC announced on Tuesday.
Matthew Bender,
Boogy Brown,
Ian Calhoon,
Luke Hurd,
Wes Kriete, and
Trevion Walker represent the CWU Men's Track & Field Team while
Cariann Bryant,
Payton Conover, Sam DeLay,
Zoe Gonzales,
Carley Huber, and
Tehya Moore represent the CWU Women's Track & Field Team. Huber is the sole Wildcat to move on to the Academic All-American voting.
The 2026 Academic All-District Track & Field Temas, selected by College Sports communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs.
Bender, a sophomore from East Wenatchee, Wash. is the owner of a 3.97 GPA in Environmental Science. Brown, a sophomore from Lake Stevens, Wash. owns a 3.62 GPA in Business Administration. Calhoon is a sophomore from Walla Walla, Wash. and owns a 3.53 GPA in Exercise Science. Hurd, a senior from Cheney, Wash., wrapped up his senior campaign with a 3.71 GPA in BioChemistry. Kriete is a junior from Ephrata, Wash. and owns a 3.86 GPA in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Walker, a junior from Caldwell, Idaho owns a 3.64 GPA in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandise.
Bryant, a junior from Reno, Nev. owns a 3.74 GPA in Business Administration. Conover, a sophomore from Lynnwood, Wash. has a perfect 4.0 GPA and is undeclared on a major. DeLay is a sophomore from Wenatchee, Wash. and has a 3.85 GPA and is undeclared on a major. Gonzales, a junior from Wenatchee, Wash. is the owner of a 3.9 GPA in Clinical Physiology. Huber completed her senior season with a 3.63 GPA as the Santa Cruz, Calif. native earned her degree in Clinical Physiology. Moore, a senior from Nooksack, Wash. earned her degree in Psychology with a 3.68 GPA.
