Wildcats Look to Continue Win Streak at Falcons, Yellowjackets

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Central Washington University volleyball team looks to continue their hot streak, sweeping their last three opponents, as they take on the Seattle Pacific Falcons and the MSU Billings Yellowjackets on the road this weekend.

On Thursday, Oct. 20, the 'Cats will enter Brougham Pavilion looking to take down the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. PST. SPU (8-11, 6-5) is on a two-match losing streak after losing at Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks last weekend.

CWU will look to enact revenge on the Falcons for their previous matchup this season. On Sept. 24, SPU escaped Ellensburg with a five-set win. The Wildcats fell just short on the day, losing the fifth set 11-15. Tia Andaya led the 'Cats with a team-high 15 kills and 24 assists. Emma Daoud-Hebert had 11 blocks.

After their match at SPU, the Wildcats will travel to Billings, Mont. to take on the Yellowjackets (7-12, 0-11) at 12:00 p.m. PST. The two teams last faced off on Sept. 22 in Ellensburg with the 'Cats coming out on top in four sets. Ashley Kaufman had a massive 24-kill performance. Andaya logged 12 kills and a team-high 29 assists.

MSU Billings is averaging 11.1 kills, 1.7 blocks and 14.5 digs per set. Caty Havekost and Jahsita Fa'ali'i are the only Yellowjackets over two kills per set. Christine Funk has 4.60 digs per set while Paiten Langston leads the team in blocks with 0.82 per set.

Last weekend, the Wildcats (12-7, 7-4) swept Saint Martin's and Western Oregon at home. Daoud-Hebert led the charge against SMU (10 kills, 5 blocks) while Kaufman was the 'Cats top performer against WOU (14 kills, 13 assists).
