Â
The Wildcats are currently 3-2. Last weekend, they battled the Lindenwood Lionesses in their home opener, losing by a final score of 15-33. The Lionesses, who are the reigning D1 Elite National Champions, hadn't lost since Feb. 28, 2020, when LU lost to Oregon State 10-17 in the LAI Sevens Tournament.
Â
The Lionesses got out to a hot start, squashing most offensive opportunities for the 'Cats. At the half, the Crimson and Black were down 3-19.
Â
In the second half, the Wildcat's offense started to find some momentum.
Tessa Hann had a big day for the 'Cats, scoring both tries as the team put up 12 points in the second half.
