ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The Central Washington University women's soccer team had two members, Emily Darcy and Peyton Vogel, selected to the Great Northwest Athletic All-Conference Second Team.

"I am incredibly proud of these players individual performance this season. Each of them faced adversity this season in different ways and they were able to overcome them and find consistency," Head Coach Lindsey Lee said.

Darcy, the team's most potent attacker throughout the course of the season, led the team in scoring with a stellar stat line of eight goals, two assists, and eighteen points.

Earlier in the season, Darcy had two goals including the game winner against San Francisco State. On Oct. 20, Darcy scored the 'Cats lone goal in their tie versus #7 Western Washington.

"Emily Darcy is an animal," Coach Lee said. Her ability to score goals and defend higher gave us the ability to compete against some of the best teams in the country."

After getting an honorable mention nod in 2021, Vogel earned her spot on the team this time around. Vogel was a stalwart defensively all season and started in seventeen of eighteen games. She accumulated the most minutes for any player, totaling 1,455 minutes.

"Vogel has been a rock for us this past season in the backline," Coach Lee. "Her leadership ability, heading ability and on the ball, decision making allowed for us to grow as the season went on."

Jordan Bartlow and Annelise Bauman earned honorable mentions for the 'Cats.

"What an impact Jo has made to our team. Her competitive nature and technical ability have filled such a role for us this season," Coach Lee said. "AB is as steady as people come. Her calm nature, athletic ability and just the ability to thrive in any situation made a huge impact on this team."
