ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The Central Washington Wildcats (5-4, 5-3) are set to close out the regular season with a matchup against the University of Texas Permian Basin Falcons on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1:00 p.m.

"I think our guys will come out inspired and play hard for our seniors," Head Coach
Chris Fisk said. "[UTPB is] fighting for something special. At the end of the day, they're either going to have a winning season or a losing season because they're sitting at 5-5, so there's a lot of motivation there for those guys."

In addition to Senior Day, Saturday's game against Texas Permian Basin will be CWU's annual Military Appreciation Game. CWU is allowing those with a Military ID, Veteran ID, Department of Defense Common Access Card, and Dependent ID to receive free admission as a small token of the university's appreciation.

SCOUTING TEXAS PERMIAN BASIN
The Falcons enter Tomlinson Stadium with a 5-5, 4-4 record. They currently have a two-game win streak as they've racked up victories over Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico the past two weekends.

UTPB scores and allows just over 25 points per game this season. The Texas Permian Basin offense averages 333.2 yards each game, with most of them coming through the air.

At QB, Dylan Graham leads the Falcons with 1,859 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Against Western New Mexico last weekend, the Falcon's running game ran wild. Kory Harris, the team's leading rusher who has 406 yards and two rushing touchdowns on the year, put up 105 yards on the ground last week. Nathan Tilford ran for 108 yards and couple touchdowns against the Mustangs.

MJ Link is the top Falcon's receiver with 52 receptions for 764 yards and nine touchdowns. Gunnar Abseck has 40 receptions for 454 yards and four touchdowns.

Leading the UTPB defense is LB Hayden Kelly with 79 total tackles, 52 of them being solo. He's also got one interception, seven QB hits, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Second in tackles is D'Ondre Robinson (65) and third is Jalon Rocquemore (62).

Donta Stuart leads the Falcons defense in interceptions (3). Dominique Varela has 5.5 sacks for 41 yards, a team-high.

UTPB is coached by Justin Carrigan who is rounding out his seventh year at the helm.

Saturday's matchup against Texas Permian Basin will be the first in program history against the Falcons.

The LSC standings are tight entering the final weekend of the regular season. The Wildcats are tied for second place with Midwestern State and Texas A&M-Kingsville as all three schools have a 5-3 conference record. Midwestern State will take on the undefeated Angelo State Rams while Texas A&M-Kingsville will face Western Oregon.
