QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH BRANDON RINTA
"This weekend's road trip puts us playing two true road games at Cal State San Marcos and Cal State LA.  It will give us a taste of what it is like during conference, on the road playing Thursday and Saturday with a travel day in between. San Marcos won the West Region last year and is currently ranked #13 in the country. They are a talented team returning some great players off of a very successful year. Cal State LA is a very athletic team that is really good defensively."

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The Wildcats face Cal State San Marcos for the first time in program history. So far this season the Cougars are 0-2 with losses to Saint Martins and Montana State Billings. They look to top scorer Greg Milton III to fuel the Cougar offense. Milton III posted a scorching 57 points in two games, averaging 28.5 points per game. For the Wildcats, they finished the GNAC CCAA classic 0-2 with losses to Cal State Monterey Bay and 9th-ranked Cal State San Bernardino. After two games, the 'Cats leading scorers are Camron McNeil and Samaad Hector averaging 9.5 and 8 points per game respectively. The Wildcats are 34.7% from the field and 20% from beyond the arc, while the Cougars are shooting 47% from the field and 37.5% from three.
Central Washington is 2-0 all-time against Cal State Los Angeles. Their last matchup was in November of 2005, the 'Cats won 83-74. Leading scorer for the Golden Eagles is Shane Bell, averaging 16 points per game. Bell is a threat from the charity stripe as well, he has made all 5 of his free throws this season. Not far behind Bell is Payton Moore averaging 13 a game. The Golden Eagles are shooting 36% from the field and 20.5% from deep.
