ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Andrew Petko has been named as Deputy Director of Athletics at Central Washington, CWU Director of Athletics Dennis Francois announced.

Petko, who joins the CWU Athletics staff after three years at Minot State University in Minot, ND., started his new duties in Ellensburg on Sept. 26.

"In addition to his high business acumen, I am confident that Andrew's commitment to enhancing the student-athlete and fan experience will further propel our department forward."

In his last three years at Minot State, Petko worked as the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations.

"I'm really looking forward to working with the entire staff, coaches, and student-athletes, and I am grateful to call Ellensburg home. In his role at MSU, Petko was responsible for overseeing internal operations such as human resources, financial, event management, and equipment services. He managed all coaches, graduate staff, and game contracts. He managed all three of Minot State's on-campus facilities.

Ahead of his time at Minot State, Petko worked 8 years at Loyola Marymount University (NCAA Div. I), most recently as the Director of Business Affairs. Petko earned his Master of Science in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor's degree in Communication from the University at Buffalo.

Joining Andrew in Ellensburg are his wife, Stacy, and their two daughters, Blair and Scarlett.
