MOSES LAKE, Wash. – Central Washington men's basketball (4-10, 0-5 GNAC) fell 72-90 Thursday night against Alaska Anchorage (8-5, 2-2 GNAC) at Big Bend Community College. Four players scored in double digits, but a slow second half coupled with turnovers led to the loss for CWU.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wildcats started out fast with McNeil and Banks hitting back-to-back threes giving Central the early 9-2 lead. Alaska Anchorage fought back, but a floater from
Isaiah Banks extended the 'Cats lead to 15-10. A three from Tyson Gilbert and a foul led to a four-point swing giving the Seawolves the 17-15 lead.
Both teams went back and forth trading baskets and with 7:52 remaining Central had a 23-22 lead. Threes kept Anchorage in it and with 2 minutes left in the half
Noah Pepper nailed a trey. Dathan Satchell answered with a three of his own. At the break, the Wildcats trailed 38-40.
During the first half, CWU shot 50% from the field while UAA went 52%. Both sides made six from beyond the arc and two from the charity stripe. Central capitalized defensively turning seven steals into 10 points.
Banks opened the second half with an easy layup from a nice pass by
Brock Gilbert. Anchorage found success driving to the basket which led to 36 points in the paint. The Seawolves utilized two runs of 7-3 and 10-4 to secure the 90-72 victory.
The Wildcats, who shot well in the first half struggled in the second half only making 2 threes. 15 turnovers and fouls hurt the 'Cats attempt to regain control of the game.
Alaska Anchorage shot 57.9% from the field, made 9 threes, and went 15-16 from the free throw line.
The Seawolves were led by Jaedon Bradley scoring 16 points with 8 rebounds. Da'Zhon Wyche put up 15, Sawyer Storms added 13, and Lachlan Viney chipped in 12.
Camron McNeil led the 'Cats scoring 21 points. Hector added 15 points, Poquette put up 14, and Banks chipped in 12. In the loss, CWU shot 50% from the field, made 8 from beyond the arc, and went a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe.
