NAMPA, Idaho. – Central Washington lost 79-75 in overtime to Point Loma on Friday night. The 'Cats took their first lead in the second half but couldn't hold off the Sea Lion's comeback. Point Loma executed well in overtime to secure the victory.
QUOTING HEAD COACH BRANDON RINTA
"We did everything we needed to do defensively on that last possession of regulation. We forced them into a tough off balance double clutch shot and unfortunately, it went in."
Rinta added, "I give our guys a lot of credit for battling back to take the lead. We were down most of the game and nobody quit. It was good to see Anjaylo get in a rhythm. He is capable of games like that. I thought Jordan was steady for us all night and came up with some big buckets to get us some momentum. Cavin's defense on PLNU's leading scorer was high level."
