NAMPA, Idaho. – Central Washington lost its opening two games to Northwest Nazarene 5-9 and 3-5 on Friday.
QUOTING HEAD COACH DESI STOREY
"We need to be consistent as a team and I was a little bit frustrated with the guys cause we are making mistakes we shouldn't be making, and we are not executing well. With the bases loaded, we could have taken control of the game if we had better at-bats there."
"Later in the game, we have runners in scoring position with no outs, we get one run and strike out three times. That can't happen."
Storey added, "We need to show more poise, maturity, and confidence. We need to do that then we will give ourselves chances. I know the guys are working hard. Tomorrow, we will try to come back out, be better offensively and put together a good game."
