Bowman Named to the WBCA All-American First Team

ATLANTA - Samantha Bowman adds another All-American honor to her resume earning First Team All-American Honors from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Friday. 

This is Bowman's second All-American honor in as many days as she was selected to the World Exposure Report First Team All-American list on Thursday.

Bowman finished the season as the GNAC Player of the Year, D2CCA West Region Player of the Year, and has just recently signed a professional contract in Australia with the Rockhampton Cyclones out of Rockhampton, Queensland.
 
Bowman this past season put up 22.2 points per game, 14.9 rebounds per game, 3.6 assists per game, 1.5 blocks per game, and 1.5 steals per game. Bowman broke the GNAC career record for rebounds with 1,219, finished second in scoring all-time in CWU history with 1,632 points, broke a GNAC Tournament single-game record scoring 40 points against Simon Fraser in the opening round of the GNAC Tournament, broke the GNAC single-game record for rebounds with 31 against Whitman, and broke the CWU single season scoring record with 665 points this season.
 
The Wildcats finished the season with a 21-9 overall record and a 12-6 GNAC record and earned their second-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament as the six seed.
