BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Central Washington men's basketball beat Western Oregon 80-66 in the Quarterfinals on Thursday. With the win, the Wildcats advance to play Saint Martin's tomorrow in the GNAC Semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Matt Poquette converted his first three shots helping the 'Cats build a 14-11 early lead.
- Brock Gilbert's reverse layup capped off a 12-3 run and pushed Central Washington's lead to 26-20 with six minutes left in the half.
- Poquette nailed a jumper that put Central Washington up by 11 in the last minute of the half. John Morrill Keeler hit a layup for the Wolves and CWU went into the locker room with a 39-30 advantage.
- Poquette led the 'Cats scoring 16 points in the first twenty minutes. Central Washington went 16-33 from the field shooting 50% and the 'Cats defense held WOU to 10-29, 34.5% from the floor. The Wildcats won the board battle 22-14.
- Banks got the 'Cats going in the second half by slamming one home. Samaad Hector drained one from deep to put CWU up 14 with 17:30 left.
- Poquette slammed one down in transition putting an exclamation mark on the 'Cats hot start to the second half and extending the lead to 17.
- The Wildcats used a 9-2 run late in the game to take the 74-53 lead and coast to the victory.

- Matt Poquette led the Wildcat's offense with a season-high 28 points coupled with 9 rebounds.
- Isaiah Banks scored 17 points while hauling in seven boards and Camron McNeil put up 12 points and five boards.
- Brock Gilbert quarterbacked the offense dishing out 11 assists.
- The Wolves had three players score in double digits: Cameron Cranston 15, John Morrill-Keeler 12, and Jahville Collins 12.
