ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington women's basketball team is excited to announce the addition of Aliyah Finch, a 6-1 center from Chelan, Wash.

Finch will join the Wildcats after spending this past season at Yakima Valley Community College playing for the Yaks. Finch averaged 19.1 points per game this past season, shooting 52.2 percent from the field, and averaging 15.5 rebounds per game for the Yaks. Finch had a season high 33 points against Treasure Valley on February 1
st. Finch also gathered a season high 33 rebounds against TVCC, her second time reaching 30 rebounds in a game over the season.
Finch earned Northwest Athletic Conference player of the week three times this past season. She also garnered the NWAC East Region MVP as well as earning the Co-Defensive East Region Player of the Year.
"Aliyah's size, physicality, and innate competitiveness and work ethic are the things that drew us to her. She has also done a tremendous job of developing herself over the past year with the help of her coaching staff at YVCC. It makes us excited about the potential and development that can occur in Aliyah within our program for the next three years."
The Chelan High School graduate chose CWU because "it has a successful women's basketball program and has the degree I want to pursue."
