The tournament will be held at SaberCats Stadium in Houston which houses the Houston SaberCats, a professional rugby team apart of the Major League Rugby. This year's event will be a combination of the 9's and 7's national championship events for both the men and women. All matches will be streamed live on The Rugby Network.

"We're excited to get down to Houston for the big show," women's rugby head coach Matthew Ramirez said. "It's a fantastic tournament to compete against some programs that we rarely, if ever, get to play. It's going to be a massive challenge to play against some very skilled and drilled teams, but this squad we are taking have competed all Spring for the chance to represent the Wildcats. Looking forward to getting down there and for that first whistle to get this event going!"

The tournament opens in pool play where four different pools will have their four teams face each other before the winners of the pools move on to face each other for the championship. The Wildcats are in Pool B with Dartmouth College, Long Island University, and West Chester University. Pool B starts on Saturday, May 6th when the Wildcats and Golden Rams of West Chester square off at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. The Wildcats and Long Island Sharks then square up on the pitch with a 9:50 a.m. (PST) start time. CWU concludes group play with the Dartmouth Big Green at 12:40 p.m. (PST).

The Wildcats will look to be the first new champion in five years as the Lindenwood Lionesses currently have won the championship the previous four seasons.
