Crimson and Black Spring Game Set for This Saturday

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington football team will hold its 2023 Crimson and Black Spring Game at Tomlinson Stadium this Saturday, May 6th at 12:00 p.m. Admission is free.

The Spring Game lands on the same day as the 2023 Athletics Hall of Fame gala which has some brought some Wildcat football legends in town. The 1989 Wildcat football team who finished as an NAIA National Semi-Finalist will be honored, as will three-time Canadian Football League Most Outstanding Defensive Player Adam Bighill. Along with this year's Hall of Fame inductees former Wildcat and current Houston Roughneck James Moore will be in attendance.

Rick Cadwell of the '89 football team and Bighill will be the honorary head coaches of the crimson (offense) and black (defense) teams. There will be a 15-minute running clock for four quarters with no official statistics being kept and there will not be a live stream for the 2023 Spring Game.

Last season the Wildcats in their inaugural season in the Lone Star Conference finished second place to 2022 NCAA National Quarter-Finalist Angelo State, and a 23-19 upset of 20th-ranked Texas A&M-Kingsville in Ellensburg.
