ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington University women's rugby athletes
Winnie Namosimalua and
Kerena Tinoisamoa have both been chosen to partake with the United States Under 20 Women's Rugby team when they make their trip to Ottawa, Canada next month.
"Congrats to Winnie and Rena on their selection to the USA U20s," Wildcat women's rugby head coach Matthew Ramirez said. "There's no doubt they'll bring physicality and skill to the squad and represent the program well. A massive accomplishment by these two to wear the red, white and blue!"
Namosimalua and Tinoisamoa will join and square off against fellow Wildcat
Jessica Postle who was tabbed to the Canada U20 team last week when both U20 teams (along with the Wales U20 team) will meet up in Ottawa in tandem with the Women's Pacific Four Series featuring the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australian national women's rugby teams, which will see Wildcat
Keia Mae Sagapolu starting for the US Women's Eagles.
The US Women's U20 team will first square off against Wales on July 4
th at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time at Twin Elm Rugby Park. The US Women's U20 team will act as an opener for Sagapolu and the US Women's Eagles match against Australia on July 8
th when they take on Postle and the Canada U20 team at 9:00 a.m. PST from TD Place.
