LAST WEEK
The Wildcats are coming off of a major victory last Saturday and in dramatic fashion to say the least in a 27-24 victory over the ninth-ranked Angelo State Rams in Ellensburg. The teams were tied at halftime, but stellar special teams and defense play helped the Wildcats claw to victory.
The Wildcats led by

Tre'jon Henderson tacking on 34 rushing yards of his own.
Darius Morrison led the Wildcat receiving group with three receptions for 36 yards.
The Wildcat defense had themselves a night, led by
Patrick Rogers and
Tanner Volk who had 14 and 13 tackles, respectively. Rogers also added on 0.5 tackle for loss and one pass breakup. Volk had one of the biggest plays of the season as he returned one of his two interceptions on the night all the way to the house for a defensive touchdown. Volk also had 1.5 tackles for loss.
Brett Accimus finished with seven tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss including one sack.

ABOUT THE WOLVES
CWU will look to avenge a 16-14 loss to WOU last year when the Wolves converted a last second touchdown to win the game. The Wolves will also be hungry to get back in the win column after getting shutout in the second half to see Eastern New Mexico keep their perfect season alive with the Greyhounds nabbing the 30-29 victory. WOU defeated Lincoln (Calif.) 29-14 two weeks ago, and fell 45-7 to defending FCS National Champions, the South Dakota State Jackrabbits to open the season.
The Wolves have found success on both the ground and the air game so far this season. The two-headed monster of Dominique Loggins (291) and Austin Bacher (209) have already eclipsed the 500-yard mark this season through three games. Loggins has recorded two touchdowns, while Bacher has found the endzone three times this season.
Gannon Winker is back this season as the leader of the WOU offense having completed 36 of 66 throws while throwing two touchdowns and only four interceptions for 378 yards. Keyvaun Eady has been the go-to target for Winker having found Eady 14 times for 143 yards. Damon Hickok (85 yards) and Loggins (53 yards) have also been target six and five times respectively, with each recording one receiving touchdown.
"Offensively, Western Oregon is a lot of the same faces, they were very young a year ago. So, we kind of have the same mission that we did a year ago.
Six Wolves have recorded double-digits in tackles so far this season, led by Daron Ulrich Jr. with 17, while Malcolm Liufau and Dawson Muggy each have 16 so far. WOU has only gotten to the opposing quarterback twice so far this season as Joseph Northcutt has recorded the only two sacks for the Wolves. However, WOU has gotten into the backfield and caused 16 tackles-for-loss with Sam Stowers recording three of them. Andrew Simpson has the only interception for WOU, while six different Wolves have broken up a pass. The Wolves have recovered each of the two fumbles they've forced.
Charlie Shulkin has converted three of his four field-goals with his longest one coming in at 30-yards. Shulkin also covers punting duties as he has 13 punts for 418 yards so far this season for an average of 32.15 yards per punt and five have landed in the opposing 20-yard line.
"Western Oregon's a very good football team, very well coached, I have a lot of respect for Coach Ferguson and what he does down there at WOU," CWU Head Football Coach
Chris Fisk said. "It's really kind of the same story as a week ago. They've got a very good front seven defensively. They've got a lot of faces back defensively from last years team, outside of the LSC Defensive Player of the Year. We'll have our work cut out for us, they had a lot of young kids on the defense last year that have done a really nice job of in the offseason, getting into better shape, so it'll be a tremendous challenge for us offensively. Offensively, Western Oregon is a lot of the same faces, they were very young a year ago. So, we kind of have the same mission that we did a year ago."
