ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University Wildcat volleyball team (10-5, 8-1 GNAC) kicks off the second half of the season on the road this week as they head across the Cascades to take on the Seattle Pacific University Falcons (4-13, 4-5 GNAC) on Thursday, Oct 24, then travel over the Rockies to face the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets on Saturday, Oct 26.

The Wildcats split last week's match ups as they saw their undefeated streak in conference play end at the hands of Simon Fraser University, who swept CWU on Thursday, Oct 17. The 'Cats responded with a dominating performance on Saturday, Oct 19, sweeping the Western Washington University Vikings.
Central saw strong performances from
Marianna Payne, who led the team in kills with 16 total, and
Morgan Halady, who earned 12 kills on 19 attempts for a .526 hitting percentage. On the defensive side,
Emma Daoud-Hebert led the 'Cats in blocks with eight total. Halady was second with six blocks.
Hannah Stires held down the receiving end as she recorded 41 digs for the week, posting a 6.83 digs per set average.
ABOUT THE FALCONS
The Falcons have split their record at 3-3 since last playing the Wildcats on Sep 28. Their wins include defeating Western Washington University on Oct 10 and are currently on a two-game winning streak after beating Western Oregon on Oct 17 and Saint Martin's on Oct 19. The match against SPU will be on Oct 24 at 7:00 p.m. from the Royal Brougham Pavilion in Seattle, Wash.
The Falcon's statistical leaders are Sydney Perry (168 kills), Christina Lopez (217 digs), Hannah Hair (103 blocks), Emily Tulino (479 assists), and Abigail Cunningham (20 service aces).
ABOUT THE YELLOWJACKETS
Montana State Billings' season has not worked out well for them, as they are the only team in the GNAC that remains winless. However, the Yellowjackets beat Rocky Mountain College 3-1 on Oct 15 in a non-conference match up. The Wildcats match against the Yellowjackets will be on Oct 26 at 1:00 p.m. MDT from Alterowitz Gymnasium in Billings, Mont.
