ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University Wildcats men's basketball team (1-2) defeated the Walla Walla University Wolves (0-4) 88-65 Thursday evening in Nicholson Arena.

"The team did a great job of playing at a faster pace tonight and it paid off. I was really impressed with our unselfish ball movement. Cavin did a great job leading that with 8 assists.
Maverick, Garrett, and Sisk came up big in the rebounding category as well."

- Jordan Clark and Cavin Holden led the team in scoring with 15 points each.
- The Wildcats had five players with double digits in scoring with Clark, Holden, Calvin Sisk (12 points), Maverick Sanders (12 points), and Kobe Parlin (10 points).

First Half
- The Wolves shot out of the gate with a 7-2 run for an early lead.

- The Wildcats continued to build on their lead, going on a 7-3 run to lead 19-10.
- The Wolves would go away easily as they chipped away at the lead to eventually trail 21-15.
- CWU continued a steady stream of points to keep the lead away from Walla Walla and close out the first half with a 42-31 lead.
Second Half
- The 'Cats continued their momentum to start the second half, scoring eight unanswered points.
- The Wolves answered with a six-point streak to work at the lead.
- Central kept working at points as the lead grew to over 20 points.
- Three-point shooting worked for the Wildcats towards the end of the game as Clark dropped back-to-back threes and Parlin followed-up with a three pointer of his own.
- Mitch Brizee closed out scoring for CWU as the Crimson and Black win the game 88-65.
