ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Hannah Stires and
Emma Daoud-Hebert of the Central Washington University Wildcats volleyball team were selected to the AVCA and D2CCA All-West Region teams, the AVCA and D2CCA announced today. Both were named to the AVCA First Team All-West Region. Daoud-Hebert was selected to the D2CCA First Team and Stires to the D2CCA Second Team.

"Both Emma and Hannah are playing their best volleyball and statistically are producing at a very high level. To be named on the West Region team is a big honor considering the talent in this region. Their hard work is paying off and I am thrilled they are being recognized."
Stires, a fifth-year senior out of Nine Mile Falls, Wash., is eighth in GNAC history with 1,962 digs and 10th with 4.93 digs per set and led the conference with 5.69 digs per set this season. Her efforts earned her the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year honors this season. She reached double digits in digs in all of her 21 matches this season, including a season-high 33 on Nov. 9 against Alaska Fairbanks.
Daoud-Hebert, a fifth-year senior out of Woodinville, Wash., earned her third straight AVCA All-West Region First Team selection, and her second consecutive D2CCA All-West Region First Team recognition. She ranks second in Division II volleyball in hitting with an attack percentage of .446 and is on track to break the GNAC single season record of .425. In addition to her offensive accolades, Daoud-Hebert ranks fourth in the GNAC with 1.15 blocks per set. Daoud-Hebert is also fourth in GNAC history with 482 career blocks and fifth in GNAC history with 1.33 blocks per set.
