INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Wildcats (21-9) are dancing for the first time since 2011! The NCAA released their division II men's bracket Sunday night. Central Washington scored an automatic bid into the field after winning the Great Northwest Athletic tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats earned the five seed in the west region.
WHERE: Los Angeles, Calif. will be the destination for the Wildcats as Cal State LA earned the region's top seed and hosting responsibilities for the west regional.
WHEN: March, 15-19 with the Wildcats playing in the first round THIS FRIDAY (the 15
th). The Wildcats will play in the third game set for 7:30 p.m.
WHO: Central Washington as the five seed, will face off against the four seed Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros.
The Toros have compiled a 22-7 record over the season and just lost in the first round of the CCAA tournament in a close 75-73 battle against Cal State LA.
If the Wildcats are to advance, they would face the winner of the (1) Cal State LA vs (8) Azusa Pacific game.
FINALS: The team that makes it out of the west region will earn a spot in the elite eight (and if they win final four) which will be held in Evansville, Indiana from March 26
th – 28
th. The championship game is on Saturday, March 30
th at the Ford Center.
