HOUSTON – The Central Washington University women's rugby team finished in ninth place at the the CRAA USA Rugby College Women's Premier 7's National Championship.
The Wildcats fell to the Panthers of Davenport in the first match of day one by a 27-5 score.
Philomena Namosimalua notched the lone points for CWU with a successful try.
In the second match against Dartmouth, the Wildcats fell 24-7 with Namosimalua once again accounting for the 'Cats sole points with her second successful try of the day.
In the final match of day one saw the 'Cats fell 10-7 to rival Life that saw the Running Eagles score a last second try to seal the victory.

Kai Brandt-Templeton kicking a successful conversion.
The 'Cats fell in game one of day two to Princeton by a 12-10 score after the Tigers scored a try in the last play of the match to win it. Hann and Brandt-Templeton each notched one try for CWU.
In the ninth place match, CWU came out victorious 21-5 over Penn State.
Lilly Thomas finished with a hat trick, 3 tries with Brandt-Templeton notching three conversions.
The Wildcats have concluded their season and will now look toward the 2024-25 season.
