ELLENSBURG, Wash.- The Central Washington University women's soccer team (3-6-6, 1-6-5 GNAC) earned a point at home on Saturday afternoon, battling to a 0-0 draw against #23 Western Oregon University (10-3-4, 7-2-3 GNAC).
FIRST HALF
In the 8th minute, Cici Garcia fired a shot on target that forced a save from goalkeeper
Danika Galbraith. Later, in the 37th minute,
Peyton Wilson sent an attempt just over the crossbar. Western Oregon outshot Central Washington 9–1 in the first half, with Galbraith making four saves to keep the match scoreless.
SECOND HALF
In the 51st minute,
Gianna Doucette fired a low shot toward the bottom right corner that forced a save from Bella Lopez. Seven minutes later, Kaitlin Taylor tested
Danika Galbraith, who came up with a crucial stop. In the 59th minute,
Kelsey Fulton's attempt on goal was turned away by Lopez. Late in the match,
Sydney Madison forced another save from Lopez in the 89th minute but couldn't find the game-winner. The Wolves outshot Central 7–4 in the second half, but neither side could break the deadlock. Galbraith finished with four second-half saves to preserve the clean sheet.
