Wildcats Wrap Up California Trip with a Huge Victory over Cal State San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Central Washington University Women's Basketball Team wrapped up their Southern California trip with a big victory at Cal State San Marcos Tuesday afternoon.

INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

  • Final: Central Washington (68), Cal State San Marcos (50)
  • Records: CWU (9-1, 1-0 GNAC), CSUSM (4-3, 1-1 GNAC)
  • Location: The Sports Center (San Marcos, Calif.)

QUOTING CWU HEAD WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH RANDI RICHARDSON:

"I'm happy to end our California trip with a win. Our team showed a lot of grit with three great games in four days and shortened windows of prep. These games challenged us in the ways we hoped and I know we have grown from this trip. Today we showed the ability to adjust with the game and I felt we responded well to the challenges. I'm very pleased with how we took care of the ball and our effort on the offensive boards which are two areas we have been working on. We are excited to head home finally for our home-opener Saturday!"
