ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University men's basketball team (16-6, 10-2 GNAC) extended its winning streak to four after defeating the University of Alaska Fairbanks (9-13, 5-8 GNAC), beating the Nanooks 92-75 on Saturday night in Nicholson Arena.
Quoting Head Coach Brandon Rinta
"I was impressed with our defense in the second half. UAF has some tough guards, and our guys did a really good job of adjusting and keeping the ball in front. It was a game that we needed to go inside to Mitch, and the guys did a good job of making sure that happened. He is such an unselfish player, so it was good to see him be aggressive when we needed him to. Jordan, Cavin, and Eli all made some big plays late to give us some breathing room. Eli especially gave us some really good minutes off the bench."
