- Serena Perez helped the 'Cats strike first with a single to second base, as Karsyn Decker scored.
- Moments later, Brooke Blocker singled up the middle to score Mia Flores and Gabi Casco, extending the Wildcat lead, 3-0.
- In the second inning, Casco flied out to center field, as Adrianna Rodriguez tagged up and scored, extending the lead, 4-0.
- The Saints responded in the third inning when Shelby Lawson reached on a fielder's choice, as Ashley Goodale scored, 4-1.
- Kekai Schultz reached on a fielder's choice, inching the Saints back into the game, 4-2.
- Amanda Peterson doubled to right center, scoring Schultz and bringing SMU back into the game, 4-3.
- The 'Cats responded in the bottom of the third when Halle Dilger drilled a homerun to right center, scoring two RBI, CWU 6-3. Decker then singled up the middle, scoring Cable and extending the lead, 7-3.
- The run support continued as Flores flied out the center field, Reitz-Eaton tagged up and scored, extending the Crimson and Black lead, 8-3.
- Heather Ebner homered in the top of the fourth inning, securing two RBI and bringing SMU back into the game, 8-5.
- Schultz doubled to center field in the top of the fifth inning, scoring Haley Agena, 8-6.
- Kaylee Walker singled to left field as Schultz scored, inching the Saints back into the game, 8-7.
- Elissa Dewees tied the game when she reached on a fielders choice, as Amanda Petersen scored, 8-8.
- Ebner hit her second homerun of the game in the fifth inning, scoring Dewees and Walker to re gain the lead for SMU, 11-8.
- Mia Flores flied out the center field in the bottom of the fifth inning as Decker tagged up and scored, bringing the 'Cats back into the game, 11-9.
- Shelby Lawson extended the lead for SMU when she singled to right field in the top of the seventh inning, as Ebner scored, 12-9.
- Serena Perez singled to right center in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring Decker and Rodriguez, SMU 12, CWU 11.

- Ebner extended the SMU lead in the second inning with a single to right center, scoring Dewees and Schultz, 3-0. Goodale scored on a pass ball to extend the lead, 4-0.
- Reitz-Eaton singled to right field to get the 'Cats on the board as Blocker scored, 4-1. Decker then singled to left field, scoring Cable, 4-2. Casco then singled to right field, scoring Reitz-Eaton and bringing the 'Cats back into the game, 4-3.
- Kaylee Walker grounded out the first base, scoring Petersen and extending the lead, 5-3.
- Lawson doubled to center field in the fourth inning, scoring Ebner and Goodale and padding the Saints lead, 7-3. Agena then doubled to center field, scoring Lawson, 8-3. Petersen then singled to center field, scoring Agena, 9-3. The scoring continued as Prosch singled to left field, scoring Walker, 10-3. Ebner then walked with the bases loaded, scoring Griffiths and extending the lead, 11-3.
- The 'Cats fought back in the bottom of the fourth inning when Casco doubled to center field, scoring Reitz-Eaton and Rodriguez, 11-5. Flores then hit a three-run homerun to right center, scoring Casco and Decker, 11-8.
- Rodriguez singled to right field, scoring Perez and inching the 'Cats closer, 11-9.
