ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University cross country teams return to action this Saturday as they head west to Ferndale, Washington, to compete in the 51st annual Western Washington University Bill Roe Cross Country Classic. The Wildcats will be represented by six men and 17 women. The women's 6K race will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 11:00 a.m.

The Crimson & Black competed at the PLU Invitational, where the women's team placed sixth overall.
Helayna Bonilla led the Wildcats with a 26th-place finish, clocking in at 23:56.4. Teammates
Dawn Hulstedt and
Paige Huntsinger followed closely, finishing 35th and 36th with times of 24:17.5 and 24:23.0, respectively.
Lexi Titchenal secured 42nd place at 24:40.2, while
Xitlalli Salinas-Lopez finished 62nd in 25:38.8.
Brynne Williams placed 81st with a time of 26:06.2, and
Natalie Barta rounded out the group with a 98th-place finish in 27:05.1.
The men are coming off a week-long break and are looking to bounce back as they return to action this week.

The Wildcats will travel to Springfield, Oregon, on Friday, October 10, to compete in the Bill Dellinger Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon at Pine Ridge Golf Club. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m.
