ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University volleyball team (5-4, 1-1 GNAC) continues its homestand this Saturday–taking on Northwest Nazarene (1-8, 0-2 GNAC) in the lone matchup of the week.

Central opened GNAC play last weekend, starting with a huge upset win over then #8 Simon Fraser in five sets, and then narrowly falling to the rival Western Washington Vikings in five sets.
Ellie Marble took the reins for the 'Cats over the weekend–leading in scoring with 37 total points including 33 kills and seven blocks.
Brooklyn Parker settled into the libero position with 39 digs while also recording six service aces.
Kayleigh-Shay Chang continued to feed the offense with 99 total assists over the weekend, while
Mackenzie Godden held down the front line with 13 total blocks.
ABOUT THE NIGHTHAWKS
Northwest Nazarene has seen a rough start to its season–going 1-8 overall and 0-2 to open conference play. The Nighthawks' lone victory was against the Colorado School of Mines on Sep. 11–winning 3-0. NNU fell to both Western Washington and Simon Fraser last week–both by a score of 1-3.
The Nighthawks are led offensively by Abby Black with 87 kills, followed by Lily Kinloch with 80 kills. Kayci Spray leads on the defensive line with 113 digs, while Morgan Wilding leads the setters with 261 total assists. Hailey Cheney leads at the net with 32 blocks, while also leading in service aces with 14, followed by Spray and Wilding with 10 each.
The Wildcats and Nighthawks hit the court on Saturday afternoon, with first serve from Nicholson Arena set for 1:00 p.m.
