ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University Men's Basketball Team couldn't find a way to slow down Alaska Anchorage, as the Seawolves defeated the 'Cats 69-55 on Saturday night at Nicholson Arena the split the weekend.

"We struggled offensively tonight. UAA is a very good defensive team that packs it in. In order to beat them, you have to shoot it well from three. We had some good stretches defensively, but we have to do a better job of rebounding on that side."

- Anchorage found a layup from Sylas Williams to get it to a three-point lead.
- Chae Haynes hit a pair of free throws to bring the lead back to one, before the Seawolves hit a 10-2 run to make it a 23-14 lead with 5:37 left.
- The 'Cats found chances to stay in the game and finished the half with a 10-9 run to make it a 24-32 score going into halftime.
Second Half
- Central opened the second half with a 9-6 run to cut the lead to five with 15:14 remaining.
- UAA responded with an eight-point run to rebuild a comfortable lead at 46-33 with 11:52 left in the game.
- The Seawolves kept the pressure on, keeping a steady lead as the time passed the 10-minute mark of the half.
- The Wildcats found scoring opportunities, but Anchorage continued to find chances as well,
