ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Six Wildcat football student-athletes have been to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division II Academic All-District Football Team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Student-Athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Tuesday, January 27.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
The six Wildcats who were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team is
Chase Coalson,
Slade Edwards,
Tyler Luzan,
Brett McCalla,
Jaxin McCallum, and
Kennedy McGill. Edwards, Coalson, McGill, and McCalla all will move on to the All-American voting.
Luzan and McCallum were both named First Team All-LSC this season with Luzan owning a 3.76 GPA in Physical Education & School Health and McCallum earning a 3.64 GPA in Business & Marketing Education.
Coalson, Edwards, McCalla, and McGill all will move on to the voting for All-American.
Coalson, a First Team All-LSC honoree this season, has a 3.51 GPA in Exercise Science. Edwards, the 2025 NCAA Division II Rimington Trophy winner as the best center in NCAA Division II football, has a 3.51 GPA in Mechanical Engineering Technology. McCalla, also a First Team All-LSC honoree this season owns a 3.95 GPA in Sport Management. McGill, a Harlon Hill nominee, matched McCalla with a 3.95 GPA also in Sport Management.
